This
month it's all about The
Osbournes. If (like me) you've been wondering whether
Ozzy really bit the head off a pigeon (or a dove or a bat or whatever
you heard it was), then click here for the real story from the Prince
of Darkness himself. I know what you're thinking -- has it really
been 15 years since Who
Framed Roger Rabbit first hit the big screen? Yes! And it's
time to celebrate with the Vista Series edition of the film. Click
here for a sneak peek. In honor of this year's Oscar® nominees,
I'd like to mention two new-to-DVD-and-Video movies made by and
starring past Oscar® winners: Full
Frontal, directed by Steven Soderbergh (Best Director, 2001,
Traffic) and featuring Julia Roberts (2000 Oscar® winner
for her performance in another Soderbergh film, Erin Brokovich),
now available, and Moonlight
Mile, featuring performances by three Best Actor winners
-- Susan Sarandon, Dustin Hoffman, and Holly Hunter -- due out on March 11. Until next month...

 | "Two thumbs way up for 'Moonlight Mile.'" -- Ebert & Roeper
Oscar® winners Dustin Hoffman (Best Actor, 1980, Kramer vs. Kramer), Susan Sarandon (Best Actress, 1996, Dead Man Walking), and Holly Hunter (Best Actress, 1994, The Piano) star with Jake Gyllenhaal (The Good Girl) in Moonlight Mile -- an uplifting story of endearing honesty and humor. When Joe Nast (Gyllenhaal) experiences an unexpected loss, he wants to be the man he believes everyone wants him to be -- the dutifully bereaved husband-to-be and the perfect would-be son-in-law to Ben (Hoffman) and Jojo (Sarandon). But then another woman unexpectedly enters his life, and he's torn between fulfilling his new roles and following his heart.

"Bringing
Down The House"
See It In Theaters March 7
|
 | Peter Sanderson (Steve Martin) is a divorced, straight-laced, uptight attorney who still loves his ex-wife (Jean Smart) and can't figure out what he did wrong to make her leave him. However, Peter's trying to move on, and he's smitten with a brainy bombshell barrister he's been chatting with on-line. However, when she comes to his house for their first face to face, she isn't refined, isn't Ivy League, and isn't even a lawyer. Instead, she's Charlene (Queen Latifah), a prison escapee who is proclaiming her innocence and wants Peter to help clear her name. But Peter wants nothing to do with her, prompting the loud and shocking Charlene to turn Peter's perfectly ordered life upside down, jeopardizing his effort to get back with his wife and woo a billion dollar client (Joan Plowright). In the end, our unlikely pair has the chance to put each other's lives on higher ground... if they don't end up bringing down the house.
