Producer Lee Mayes has a prestigious list of credits to his name. In addition to SCARY MOVIE, he recently produced "Duets," directed by Bruce Paltrow and starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Scott Speedman, and Maria Bello. The film will be soon be released by Disney.
SCARY MOVIE marks Mayes' second teaming with Keenen Ivory Wayans. The pair has continued their working relationship since filming "Low Down Dirty Shame," in which Wayans starred.
Mayes' additional producer credits as film producer include "Multiplicity," directed by Harold Ramis and starring Michael Keaton and Andie MacDowell; "Rudy," directed by David Anspaugh and starring Sean Astin; "FX2," starring Brian Dennehy and Bryan Brown; and "Dominick and Eugene," starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Ray Liotta, and Annabeth Gish.
Mayes served as production manager on "House of Games," "No Mercy," and "Desert Bloom." He was the location manager on "Silkwood," "Places in the Heart," and "Ragtime."
Following college and a career in the U.S. Navy, Mayes received his master's degree in screenwriting from the Columbia University Film School.
