Prior to SCARY MOVIE, Kenny photographed Miramax Films' box office hit "She's All That," starring Freddie Prinze, Jr., and Rachael Leigh Cook.
Kenny's first big break as a cinematographer came in 1989, when he photographed the critically acclaimed high-school satire "Heathers," starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. His additional feature films credits have included "A Night at the Roxbury," "Bean," "Harriet the Spy," "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate," "Jason's Lyric," "Wayne's World II," "Coneheads," and "New Jack City."
Earlier in his career, in 1985, Kenny photographed the Academy Award®-winning film "You Make Me Feel Like Dancin'." Soon after that, in 1986, he took the job as camera operator on Susan Sidelman's "Desperately Seeking Susan." His second unit feature film credits include "Making Mr. Right," "Drop Dead Fred," and "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?"
Kenny has photographed numerous films for television, including American Zoetrope's "Dark Angel," Paramount's "The 119," NBC's "Sweet Bird of Youth," directed by Nicolas Roeg, and Warner Bros.' "The Flash."
Kenny's grandfather Herman Adkins was a famous aviator, whose airplane, the Adaptable Annie (named after his grandmother Annie Adkins), is now in the Smithsonian Museum. Flying in the cockpit with his grandfather, Kenny witnessed remarkable sights and views, which inspired him to become a cinematographer.
