Producer MARIANNE MADDALENA is president of Craven-Maddalena Films and has collaborated with director Wes Craven for more than a decade. She joined his creative team in 1987 for the production of the Universal film "The Serpent and the Rainbow." Recently, Maddalena and Craven signed an exclusive four-year deal with Miramax Films and sister company Dimension Films.

Maddalena served as executive producer of SCREAM and producer of SCREAM 2. She was also executive producer of "Vampire in Brooklyn," starring Eddie Murphy and Angela Bassett, for Paramount. She produced "Wes Craven's New Nightmare," reuniting Heather Langenkamp and Robert Englund for New Line, "The People Under the Stairs" with Ving Rhames for Universal, and "Shocker" with Peter Berg and Mitch Pileggi for Universal, as well as the NBC series "Nightmare Café" and the telefilm "Night Visions."

Maddalena assembled an impressive cast for the 1999 Miramax drama "Music of the Heart," starring Meryl Streep, Gloria Estefan in her screen debut, Angela Bassett, and Aidan Quinn -- for which Streep received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her portrayal of real-life protagonist Roberta Guaspari. Guaspari's violin lessons to children in East Harlem led to concerts in Carnegie Hall and personal triumph for countless inner-city children. The film's theme song, "Music of My Heart," written by Diane Warren and recorded by Gloria Estefan and *NSYNC, was nominated for two Grammy Awards and was the No. 1 single in the country.
